At Emerge, we recognize a critical need in Colorado for excellence in diagnosis, counseling, and treatment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other pediatric neurodevelopmental and emotional conditions. We are expanding our team and are looking for a Part-Time Medical Administrative Assistant for our Denver office.

Emerge is seeking a Part-Time Medical Administrative Assistant to join our growing team in Denver, CO.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greet clients and visitors
  • Regularly update patients’ records
  • Confirm appointments and meetings with patients
  • Monitor the Emerge e-mail account and respond in a timely, professional manner
  • Scanning and organizing medical/administrative documents
  • Collecting and logging payments 
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff and company information
  • Maintain HIPPA compliant practices
  • Support Emerge President, Dr. Helena Huckabee, with calendar maintenance, communications, or other tasks as required
  • Complete miscellaneous administrative requests or special projects as requested

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Front desk/reception/administrative assistant or related experience
  • Knowledge of professional telephone etiquette
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work with little direction
  • Ability to handle delicate matters with diplomacy

Who We Are:


Emerge was founded in 2005 by Dr. Helena Huckabee, Ph.D., BCBA-D. Recognizing a critical need in Colorado for excellence in counseling, diagnosis and treatment, Dr. Huckabee drew upon her years of experience in autism and neuroscience to establish a practice offering multi-disciplinary services suited to a diverse set of needs. Since starting Emerge, Dr. Huckabee and her staff have:


  1. Co-authored and testified on behalf of mandated services for Autism in Colorado (Section 10-16-104 (1.4), C.R.S.)
  2. Had two cases go to the US Supreme Court including No. 15–827. Argued January 11, 2017—Decided March 22, 2017 with an 8:0 decision supporting the Emerge opinion.

The Emerge treatment model for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders utilizes the science of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and incorporates a variety of proven techniques such as Incidental Learning, Pivotal Response Treatment, and Verbal Behavior. Our goals and strategies are individually tailored to each client, maximizing cognitive, social and emotional growth while supporting the family’s needs, lifestyle, and interests.
