Job Title:  Remote Customer Service (Contact Tracer)

Location:  Remote USA

 

This is a contract position to serve as a Contact Tracer, you will be responsible for investigating situations in which individuals may have been in contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19.  The Contact Tracer will identify and call these individuals to collect information, provide education on quarantine, and explain the steps involved in monitoring health.

 

 

What you will be doing as a Contact Tracer:

  • Educate patients on local/state quarantine procedures, testing protocols and risk reduction
  • Perform an array of administrative tasks including report preparation, preparation of correspondence and scheduling follow-up
  • Reach out to contacts of newly diagnosed patients of COVID-19 via telephone, email and social media messaging
  • Resourcefulness in locating patients and contacts who may be difficult to reach or reluctant to engage in conversation
  • Collect, record and maintain information on symptoms in the Client Resource Management (CRM) system
  • Refer contacts for testing according to established protocols
  • Comply with Department of Public Health training regarding confidential information related to personal information
  • Refer individuals or situations to medical, social, or supervisory resources

 

What you will need to be successful in this role:

  • The ability to communicate with contacts in a compassionate, culturally-sensitive, and professional manner
  • Courteous with strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Some understanding of medical terms and terminology is preferred but not required
