    Responsible for coordinating all field personnel and materials and equipment to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality, supervising field personnel, while administering good construction safety practices with all onsite activities. Responsible for maintaining jobsite cleanliness.

    Essential Job Functions:


    • Participate in a preconstruction meeting with Superintendent and Project Manager for designated jobs o Know if job is to be LEED Certified and/or wage scale o Be able to answer questions from crew regarding project specific detail
    • Become familiar with each project’s scope and systems to be used
    • Recall information regarding multiple jobs
    • Plan material acquisitions with help from crew, Superintendent and Project Manager
    • Know and understand the General Contractor’s expectations as they pertain to the Company’s specific contract
    • Participate in selection of crew with Superintendent taking into account skill/truck availability and current “work load” in an effort to maximize productivity
    • Be familiar with all materials and protection systems the Company installs
    • Follow and enforce Company Safety Policies and the principles of Ownership Thinking
    • Review the Company Onsite Job Book daily
    • Conduct onsite 2-Minute Safety Minders and review JHA/Work Plan with crew daily, and as conditions change
    • Complete detailed Foreman Daily Work Report, providing specific information and accurate quantities of material used on the job
    • Review employee performance daily, as a crew and as individuals to report to Superintendent
    • Relay any deficiencies to Superintendent immediately (employee matters, material issues, site conditions or variances)
    • Track overall job progress to report to Superintendent for assistance with monthly progress billings
    • Set standard on jobsite for crew
    • Attend on-site job progress meetings
    • Participate in huddles to share information and feedback to other Foremen, Superintendents and Project Manager
    • Encourage ideas from your crew for more efficient ways of doing specific tasks
    • Actively participate in Company meeting.

    • Must be able to organize, plan and prioritize and be able to shift directions smoothly and promptly
    • Must be self-motivated and goal oriented
    • Must be able to accommodate a flexible schedule
    • Must exercise excellent attention to detail with emphasis placed on safety and quality
    • Must be familiar with OSHA 1926 (Construction) Standards and FRA (Federal Railroad Administration) 229 Safety Standards
    • Must possess a current and valid driver’s license and insurance
    • Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record
    • Must maintain drug-free status throughout employment


    Experience and Education:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • 1-2 years Foreman or Supervisory experience
    • 3+ years construction experience
    • OSHA 30 Hour
    • E-Railsafe Certified
    • First Aid/CPR Certified
