About the Position

Are you a passionate and highly collaborative UX Designer to join a team driving real change.  Are you ready to reimagine the energy industry? We are looking for entrepreneurial, critical thinkers and innovators who are motivated to take a broader look at design. We are digitally transforming our company and our industry. It is an exciting time to be a part of an organization that is leading with user-centered design. It will be a place that challenges you to grow. We love what we do, and we’re looking for designers who are as passionate as we are.

As a UX Designer on the Experience Design Team, you’ll be in the unique position to shape your projects from both a macro and micro level as well as our relationships with our business partners. You will be able to evangelize user experience design and LEAN UX.  You’ll be visionary, innovative and have the courage to push the boundaries.  You will enthusiastically drive innovation on all your projects and crafting the compelling story to users and the business. What you can expect: passionate and highly talented designers who solidly collaborate, users and leadership who want big thinking in the digital space, and the opportunity to raise the bar in the digital realm. Strong attention to detail, as well as a solid, holistic understanding of the entire life cycle is required. In addition, you will have a direct impact with our users and defining the UX design at DCP.

What you’ll work on:

  • Understand the established design patterns and best practices, yet have the vision and capability to adapt and create design solutions for a set of unique users and business problems.
  • You are focused on LEAN UX and provide just enough documentation and iteration to ensure you are communicating your designs, meeting users’ needs and providing value.  You might even love defining taxonomies and metadata models.
  • Best practices and design principles are core to your process for both highly engaging interactive solutions for mobile, web, and potentially AR/VR.  You are always looking for and participating in design of the future. You will have the opportunity to shape the design process and evolve the style guide.
  • You can design for different technologies. You love a challenge from your team and your users. You have a keen focus on outcomes versus outputs.
  • Work closely with Developers, UX/UI designers, SMEs and our stakeholders to listen, advise, guide, support and ultimately drive maximum business impact.
