SGM is currently seeking a Transportation Team Lead to join their growing team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Traffic analysis of alternative designs during planning, NEPA and project development/design phases
  • Traffic design for inclusion in Plans, Specification and Estimate (PS&E) packages
  • Performance of traffic safety analyses and safety assessments
  • Identification of data requirements and data collection methods
  • Use of Traffic engineering tools, such as:
    • Highway Capacity Software (HCS)
    • Traffic signal timing software
    • Traffic Queuing analysis
    • Roundabout analysis software
  • Performing or review of Traffic Impact Studies
  • Review of design and analysis performed by others


What you need:


  • Excellent client service and business development skills
  • Successful project management skills and experience
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Has or is motivated to pursue PTOE license
  • The ability to manage a team


Qualifications for the successful candidate are:

  • Progressive experience in traffic analysis and roadway design
  • Bachelor or higher degree in civil engineering, transportation engineering or related field
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Micro Station, HCS and Synchro, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and the ability to learn and use new software
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license
  • Colorado PE license
  • Knowledge of State DOT / FHWA policies and procedures
