Scientific Device is growing! We are starting a new chapter and adding our first hunter to our ranks.  We are looking for an experienced Inside Sales/Account Executive who has previous outside business development/territory management experience to join our team.  The incumbent will play a vital role in accelerating our growth. This is an exciting in-office role with minimal travel requirements!

 

This position will be responsible for new major account acquisition through targeting high-level decision makers to partner with Scientific Device with OEM printing of microscope slides and discovering clinical laboratories that need breakthrough innovations. Through repeated outreach, developing relationships and communicating Scientific Device’s value, they are responsible for bringing in new business. 

 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Collaborate with leadership and marketing to Implement and refine sales strategies that maximize profit and market share.
  • Identify opportunity for potential companies and industries. This position is responsible for bringing in $1.1M annually in new business through outbound sales.
  • Research opportunities, contacts and potential needs for new business.
  • Repeatedly make new contacts and network to grow potential client base within target account base of 25-50 companies.
  • Create presentations for upper management and C-level executives.
  • Target new business through companies that have never worked with Scientific Device or significant growth within existing Scientific Device accounts.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • A hunter with a successful sales track record and OEM sales experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years business to business sales experience
  • Experience uncovering and closing five to six-figure deals.
  • Able to accept rejection and remain persistent
  • Good overall business acumen
  • Ability to operate in a “technical” and professional sales environment.
  • Great communication skills with clients and internal team
  • Ability to work onsite daily at Des Plaines headquarters.
