Job Title: Lead Welder

Reports To:  Plant Manager 

Location: Englewood, CO

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lead Welder will oversee and participate in the production of sheet metal and welding of products to maintain adequate inventory levels. The Lead Welder additionally plays a key role in the oversight, coaching, and development of other welding team members to ensure strong departmental performance.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven welding experience; combined with leadership experience in a formal or informal capacity
  • Must be highly organized
  • Proficient in all functions performed in welding
  • Be able to work independently and be depended upon by upper management
  • Good manual dexterity and ability to read written instructions/directions
  • Ability to learn and read electrical schematics
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime and occasional weekend shifts (shift is Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm)

COMPENSATION:   Garmat offers a competitive hourly salary.  Employees are eligible to participate in an exceptional benefits package that includes 401K plan plus health benefits (medical, dental, FSA, Life insurance).
